Advocis Announces 2026 Board of Directors, Led by Chair Arun Channan

Advocis, the Financial Advisors Association of Canada, has announced its 2026 Board of Directors, with Arun Channan taking the role of Chair. Channan brings a broad background in engineering and finance to the position. He holds a BASc, MASc, and MBA, and is a Professional Engineer, Certified Strategic Planner, and Certified Financial Planner. He has been a member of Advocis since 2015 and currently works as a management consultant with myndwerx, where he advises executive leaders.
Alongside Channan, the association confirmed the election of both new and returning members to the board. The announcement was made from Toronto on July 6, 2026. The board will guide the organization's work in representing financial advisors across Canada, focusing on professional standards, advocacy, and member support.
